I have a permanent ileostomy and my insurance limits the number of supplies I can order. I can't afford to pay retail for the extras I need. I’m grateful Kindred Box is here for me.

Living with an ileostomy comes at a high cost for me. I’m very pressed for money and have been running out of pouches. I appreciate the supplies you sent. My insurance will pay for two boxes of pouches per month. For several months I was going through 10 pouches a week because of skin issues. It's a fear of mine to run out of supplies. I often get frustrated and sad because my ileostomy is permanent. I went to the ER in pain and found out I had a hernia and perforated colon from when I fell on my side at work. It's been a month since the colostomy surgery and I can't return to my job yet. I didn't realize how much these pouches would cost. If it weren't for the ostomy nurse at the hospital and Kindred Box, I wouldn't have supplies.

I had a C. diff infection after being diagnosed with IBD. The very strong meds damaged my colon which led to colostomy surgery. When the doctor said I needed a permanent ostomy to save my life, they didn't tell me these supplies cost a fortune. I would've liked to have known that because I can't afford them.
