  • 589+ have requested assistance with ostomy supplies this year

  • ~75% of applicants live below the U.S. Federal poverty guidelines

  • The #1 reason for help is that ostomy supplies are unaffordable

  • Abigail in New Jersey

I have a permanent ileostomy, and my insurance restricts the number of pouches I can order. Paying retail for the ostomy supplies I need every month has never been affordable, so I am extremely grateful that Kindred Box is there for me.

  • Alexander in Georgia

Living with an ileostomy comes at a high cost for me. I’m very pressed for money and keep running out of pouches. Aid from the hospital was denied because I came in regularly for help. I want to thank you for your program for getting supplies. I greatly respect what Kindred Box does.

  • Alicia in California

When I discovered Kindred Box, I was unemployed due to my health issues with ulcerative colitis. I struggled to find the right ostomy supplies for my sensitive skin and was using eight pouches a day. Thank you for your kindness and generosity during one of the most difficult times in my life.

  • Alicia in North Carolina

I’m on a limited income so paying retail for ostomy supplies that I need every day is impossible. I’m grateful to get assistance from the Kindred Box programs.

  • Alisia in Connecticut

A rare form of cancer spread to my bladder, which is why my urostomy is permanent. I learned from my insurance that I must pay retail for my supplies until the $6K deductible is met. Thank you for sending me a "Kindred Box" and for the ongoing assistance and resources you're providing. I have learned more from you in the short time being connected than from the medical team that did my surgery.

  • Amanda in Alabama

My husband is a U.S. veteran. We have a private health plan that doesn’t cover DME but thanks to the Kindred Heroes Program I'm able to get my ostomy supplies.

  • Amy in Kentucky

It's been a long recovery, but I'm cancer-free. I want to say that Kindred Box is a light in the darkness. I was having a hard time wrapping my head around the idea of living with an ostomy. The kindness you showed me changed my soul, and I won't forget it for the rest of my life. I will try and pass this kindness on to others who may be facing the same. Thank you for your extraordinary selves.

  • Amy in Louisiana

I wanted to thank you for helping me. My surgery was last month and no part of having an ileostomy has been easy. The medical supplier hasn't called me back. I have skin issues and leaks. I'm changing the bag so much and can't afford these supplies. I don't know how I would've managed without support from Kindred Box.

  • Anabel in Arizona

I have a genetic illness called FAP and had ileostomy surgery. The problem is my insurance has a high deductible before covering supplies (and a high co-pay). I'm using a lot of costly supplies since the stoma was inconveniently placed over my belly button. Kindred Box cares about giving me support to make life easier.

  • Angela in South Carolina

I just received my Kindred Box! You don’t know how much this means to me since I was literally on my last two pouches. The medical supplier won't send my order because they're still waiting for my insurance to respond. The stress of it all has been overwhelming. To top it off, I have a hernia behind my stoma. But you have blessed me with a bunch of supplies I desperately needed. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful work you do.

  • Anita in Illinois

I’ve been so worried about how I was going to pay for my colostomy supplies. What you do is greatly appreciated more than you’ll ever know. 2020 was the hardest year but Kindred Box has been the best thing that's happened to me.

  • Ann in Florida

It's been a nightmare here in Venice because of hurricane Ian. But I received my box and I'm THRILLED! I've got enough supplies to last a while now. God bless you all for what you're doing. Kindred Box is a lifesaver!

  • Annmarie in New York

I’m sending heartfelt thanks for the beautiful card. It brought tears to my eyes reading your caring words and thinking how lucky I am to have found Kindred Box. I don’t know what I’d do without your help with supplies. I appreciate all that you do.

  • April in Kansas

My ileostomy is permanent from ulcerative colitis. I never had an ostomy nurse and learned everything from buying the wrong supplies which is expensive. My husband had a heart attack and is unable to work so now our income is very limited. It was a huge relief finding Kindred Box.

  • Ariana in Georgia

I barely have any income and was denied State medical insurance. Colostomy supplies are expensive, so I buy a generic pouch on Amazon and wear it too long to save money. I’m very grateful for the help I received from the Kindred Box assistance program. Thank you!

  • Arturo in Texas

I went on vacation to visit my family and started having bad stomach pain. At the ER, they rushed me to the operating room because my colon had burst. I didn't even know what a stoma was before waking up to see an ostomy bag. It's been overwhelming and buying supplies online isn't cheap. I'm glad Kindred Box is helping me until I can get insurance and a reversal.

  • Ashley in South Carolina

We were about to run out of ostomy bags for my newborn son because his new insurance took a long time to approve the order. We're changing often and struggling to pay out of pocket. I cannot say thank Kindred Box enough for helping our family until things with the medical supplier are sorted out.

  • Aubrie in Utah

Kindred Box means the world to me. Someday I hope that I can help people like you have helped me, I really mean that. If I didn’t find your program, I would've gone broke by now paying for my ostomy supplies. Thank you all so much!

  • Austin in Tennessee

I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Not only for being so nice but for caring. The supplies were extremely generous and I could never thank you enough. I can't remember the last person that treated me like I was actually someone. So thank you again for being there, it means the world.

  • Avainti in Tennessee

There are likely thousands of people across the country who don't have insurance and can't afford ostomy supplies. I'm one of those people. Thankfully, I discovered Kindred Box.

  • Bill in Texas

I’ve had an ileostomy for over 46 years now and find myself for the first time homeless without insurance and unemployed. Very grateful to have found Kindred Box.

  • Brad in North Carolina

Years ago I was very sick with Crohn's disease and had short-term SSDI which covered ostomy supplies. I had to stop working again and can't afford to buy my supplies. I've received donations locally but they're always the wrong size. Thank you to everyone at Kindred Box for your massive commitment in supporting me and others.

  • Bre in Minnesota

My medical supplier billed me hundreds for an insurance error and won't send another shipment until it's resolved. I don't have the money to pay retail and there are no local resources to help. I'd be in serious trouble if it weren't for Kindred Box. To everyone who donates to this special organization, thank you!

  • Brenda in Illinois

I was in an accident where my car slid on black ice. The injuries to my colon caused me to have colostomy surgery. I am very overwhelmed with everything—the stoma, an abscess, and not knowing how to order wound and ostomy supplies through Medicaid. Thankfully, Kindred Box helped me and connected me with a medical supplier.

  • Brian in Alabama

I lived with my first ostomy for two years, and Kindred Box supported me through a time of serious depression. Not many people can afford $1K for supplies—that's what it was for me every month. I've had a second surgery so now it's permanent. I'm so thankful to have insurance that covers my supplies now and have empathy for those without.

  • Carlyle in Texas

I haven’t been able to work after having emergency colostomy surgery. My wife passed from breast cancer, so I'm raising our four kids alone. Money is tight and these supplies are expensive! Thank you as well for sharing your knowledge which saved me countless hours of trial and error, absolutely priceless. I want to say thank you so much for everything you've done to help me through this difficult time. I will forever be grateful to the entire Kindred Box team.

  • Catalina in California

You are angels on Earth! Thank you for helping me navigate through a complex healthcare system. It's been the most difficult journey—not only getting supplies but also emotionally having an ileostomy. Your words and card moved me to tears. Thanks for all your kindness. You inspire me.

  • Charles in Mississippi

I don't know the words to say how much of a blessing you've been in my life. I am my mother's full-time caretaker and we live in a rural area far from her doctor. When unexpected expenses come up, like my car breaking down, there's no way I can afford my supplies. Getting help from Kindred Box is greatly appreciated. Huge thanks to everyone who donates.

  • Cherise in Georgia

I had most of my colon removed from ulcerative colitis. My ostomy supplies were covered under long-term disability, but that ended so now I'm paying retail until I can get insurance. It's frustrating because I'm unable to work full-time since IBD still affects my daily life. Having just a few pouches is no way to live and that's why I appreciate Kindred Box.

  • Cheryl in Georgia

I had colostomy surgery but the tumor couldn't be removed since it's too close to my pelvis. Having stage 4 colon cancer means I can no longer work. Cash flow is low and I'm terrified that all of my supplies will suddenly be depleted. I can't express how much your support helps me.

  • Christel in Alabama

Kindred Box is such a lifesaver! My husband has a colostomy and we do not have insurance. You don't know how badly we needed help with his supplies. Thanks so much for what you do.

  • Christina in Texas

I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at age 19 and have lived with an ileostomy since 1993. My insurance doesn’t cover my supplies, so I pay out of pocket for everything. I’m so grateful Kindred Box is here to help me.

  • Christina in Virginia

Not only were we drowning in medical debt, but when my husband lost his job our family lost health insurance. I couldn’t afford to pay for my son’s ostomy supplies. We had samples from the hospital but those ran out. So thankful for help from Kindred Box.

  • Christine in New York

I want to thank you so much for your program. As I write this, I’m crying happy tears! It’s been a financial struggle having an ileostomy and I’ve been conserving pouches. Kindred Box is truly a blessing, not only to me but for my family too. A lot less worry now.

  • Cindy in Texas

I had two surgeries for diverticulitis that resulted in a colostomy. In the hospital, an ostomy nurse was with me for only one day. The financial stress of buying supplies through trial and error is overwhelming. Nobody told me about convex wafers, which I needed for an inverted stoma. I value the help Kindred Box has given me.

  • Dan in Wisconsin

I had ileostomy surgery because of Crohn’s disease and I’m unable to work right now. Thanks for all your hard work and behind-the-scenes efforts. I pray that your goals double and triple because what you do matters in my life and many other lives.

  • Daniel in Texas

I was robbed at gunpoint and several bullets pierced through my large and small intestine which is why I have a ileostomy for the next six months until it's reversed. I've lost my income and denied State insurance. I'm thankful to Kindred Box for helping me because I can't afford these supplies.

  • Danielle in Idaho

I have a permanent ileostomy because of colorectal cancer. My deductible is so high that I pay out of pocket year-round for my supplies. I’m on a limited income so the help from Kindred Box is amazing!

  • Davida in Missouri

I had emergency colostomy surgery because my colon ruptured. I applied for Medicaid insurance but they haven't responded to my application yet. I'm bedridden with no income and just ran out of supplies the hospital gave me. I appreciate your help and concern for me during this time.

  • Dean in Florida

I’m not insured, so if I need help with my ostomy I go to the ER. For the past year, my daughter has been buying supplies for me online, and then she found your assistance program. Kindred Box means a lot to us.

  • Deborah in New York

I had uterine cancer and hysterectomy surgery in 2021, plus radiation. A year later, rectal ulcers were found so now I have a colostomy. During all this, I lost my job and didn't have much money. I'm beyond grateful to Kindred Box because I've stopped worrying about where my ostomy supplies will come from. Thank you for making a huge difference in my life.

  • Diana in Massachusetts

I cannot say enough how truly amazing this organization is. I'm so happy I found you. You all should be proud of what you do for people like me who can't afford ostomy supplies and need them. Thank you from a very happy ostomate!

  • Donita in Alabama

With my insurance, I have to meet an $8K deductible before insurance pays toward ostomy supplies. I must buy retail and spend $115 for just one week's worth of pouches! And couldn't afford the other six products that help the pouch stay on.

Kindred Box supports military families like mine and provided everything needed so I didn't have to worry about going without. I don't know what I'd do without this wonderful organization.

  • Duana in South Carolina

I've had a permanent urostomy for 10 years and recently lost my job and insurance. I'm going through the long process of applying for disability and buying supplies wherever they’re cheapest. A better quality of life is why I had this surgery, not financial stress. What Kindred Box is doing to help ostomates is just incredible.

  • Emily in Washington

I have a colostomy from a birth defect. My insurance only approves very few supplies so I pay out of pocket for what I need. And now I’m unemployed because the restaurant I’ve worked at for years closed because of Covid. You have no idea how much Kindred Box means to me.

  • Gary in Florida

Kindred Box made a difference in my life. I don’t think I could ever express how much your help means to me. I can’t imagine what things would be like if I hadn’t found you. Thanks for your devotion to ostomates who cannot afford supplies, so we can go on living the best life possible.

  • Gerri in Georgia

I've had a urostomy for 50 years and this is the first time I needed help with supplies. How grateful I am for Kindred Box. Thank you so much for this blessing.

  • Haley in Georgia

In 2019, I underwent exploratory surgery and think that may have caused colonic necrosis, where part of my colon died and had to be removed. Friends and family sometimes buy ostomy supplies for me, but it gets expensive. The package from Kindred Box was definitely helpful. Thank you guys so much. It truly means a lot to me.

  • Hannah in South Carolina

I'm very lucky to have had a successful reversal. I can’t begin to tell you how grateful I am to Kindred Box. I was presented with a life-saving surgery that resulted in an ileostomy after a traumatic car accident. My insurance wouldn’t cover my supplies, but this organization came to my rescue financially and seamlessly to live life through a new normal. So THANK YOU. I cannot express my appreciation enough and I want to help in any way I can to support your cause. Thank you again so much.

  • Heather in North Carolina

I had insurance with my job in Georgia but now live in North Carolina. It's been hard to find steady work since I've been in and out of the hospital from diverticulitis. Medicaid denied me based on past income and I can't get a colostomy reversal without insurance. I came across Kindred Box while searching for help online. Thank you so much for sending the supplies. They're definitely a huge help to me.

  • Heather in Texas

  • Jackie in Minnesota

There's been ups and downs having an ileostomy for more than 40 years. I really appreciate your guidance in sorting out issues with my medical supplier. Even with Medicare, paying for my supplies on a limited income has been really hard. Thank you for everything, Kindred Box!

  • James in Florida

I have a permanent ileostomy from IBD. I can't afford my supplies and I do not have any medical care or help with my ostomy since I don't have income or insurance. I would like to say thank you to Kindred Box for your organization's kind and caring help.

  • Jeff in North Carolina

The first few months with a colostomy have been tough. My home health nurse wasted many of my pouches by putting them on wrong. I was buying supplies instead of using Medicaid because I didn't know until I consulted with your team. I appreciate your guidance, connecting me with a medical supplier, and providing supplies not covered by my insurance. I'm in awe of what you do.

  • Jennifer in Florida

I hope you know how much I appreciate your program for ostomy supplies. A million weights off my shoulders since I’ve become part of the Kindred Box community. I honestly don’t know how I would’ve survived this long without your support!

  • Jessica in Missouri

Thank you so much for the sweet card in the mail. I appreciate so much what you all do for me!

  • Jo in Tennessee

Health insurance isn't easy to get when you're just over the Medicaid limits yet can't afford a private policy. I have arthritis, asthma, and a permanent colostomy. When I'm desperate, I go to the ER for meds and care. Thanks for all you do at Kindred Box. It gives me hope that I have a place to turn for help with supplies.

  • Jonathan in Florida

I had to have colostomy surgery when a hernia and diverticulitis became active at the same time. My nurses in the hospital were amazing but when I got home the emotional part set in. Supplies and funds were both low. It's overwhelming stress. Without help from Kindred Box, I don't know what life would be like.

  • Jordan I in Texas

Our home survived Hurricane Laura but recovering from the storm has been hard. Y'all are so amazing for sending supplies. I really appreciate Kindred Box.

  • Jordan B in Texas

My colon ruptured from diverticulitis resulting in emergency surgery. I'm still recovering but once I'm given the okay to start working again I'll get health insurance back. My nurse told me about Kindred Box and I'm so glad she did. I never knew about an ileostomy or how much these supplies cost. Thanks for all that you do!

  • Juanita in Alabama

My uterus, appendix, and bladder were removed because of cancer which resulted in a permanent urostomy. At the end of my medical leave, I was let go from my job and lost insurance too. It's been a struggle emotionally, physically, and financially. Some days I feel like no one cares about the medical supplies I need to live, except for Kindred Box.

  • Juliana in South Dakota

I appreciate the supplies you sent. My insurance will pay for two boxes of pouches per month. For several months I was going through 10 pouches a week because of skin issues. It's a fear of mine to run out of supplies. I often get frustrated and sad because my ileostomy is permanent. I know there are others in the world who have an ostomy and I'm very grateful that Kindred Box sees us.

  • Justin in Georgia

I was in a motorcycle accident which broke my pelvis, caused nerve damage, and did permanent damage to my bowel. Temporary disability insurance ended so now I pay retail for my ileostomy supplies which I can’t afford since I’m not fully recovered to work. Kindred Box has given me supplies, resources, and support. I can’t thank them enough.

  • Kathleen in Indiana

I can't afford my ileostomy supplies. Within a period of six months, my life turned upside down. The stress of a divorce, being out of work, and losing insurance wound me in the hospital with a perforated colon from Crohn's disease. For all Kindred Box does, and for the thoughtful way you do it—thank you.

  • Kelly in Texas

I am a U.S. Air Force vet in need of colostomy bags. It means the world to me that people who don't even know me donate to Kindred Box so these supplies can be sent to me. I'm so thankful.

  • Kelly in West Virginia

My ileostomy was from IBD that spread throughout the colon. I only have a few supplies provided by the hospital. Thanks to the generous people who give to your programs, I can live a better life and not worry about going without. Thank you for helping military families like mine.

  • Khaled in Texas

First, thank you so much for providing such a valuable service. I had J-pouch surgery that failed, so I've lived with a permanent ileostomy since 2013. I recently lost my job because of illness, but I hope to have new employment and health insurance shortly. Your assistance program is extremely helpful to me and much needed during this financially challenging time.

  • Kim in South Carolina

I just wanted to reach out and say thank you for everything Kindred Box did for my mother. You all were such a blessing to her, and to so many others who don't have insurance and can't afford supplies at retail prices. She had her reversal surgery and has made a full recovery. Again, thank you all so much!

  • Kimberly in Alabama

I lost my income last year from diverticulitis and other health issues. After non-stop pain in my stomach, I went to the ER, became septic, ended up in ICU, and woke up with a colostomy. I've been depressed because I can't afford ostomy supplies but felt so relieved when my family found Kindred Box. It is their kind assistance that keeps me going most days.

  • Kirsten in California

I stumbled upon your site while searching for assistance with ostomy supplies. My 2-month-old son has an ileostomy and I’ve been going through hurdles trying to get his pouches ordered and delivered. It was such a blessing to get a ‘Kindred Box’ and I'm so thankful for your support.

  • Lani in Alabama

Thank you for helping me get ostomy supplies while I've been getting back on my feet after losing my job. It's about $500 for a monthly order, which is too expensive considering I have no income. I'm so grateful for Kindred Box! Your charity work is important and appreciated.

  • LaTonya in Oklahoma

I'm writing to tell you how very grateful I am for the supplies. It means so much to know that someone cares and is able to help during hard times. I appreciate Kindred box for all you've done to help me.

  • Leah in Alabama

I had a benign mass on my uterus so large that it punctured a hole in my colon. At the ER, I was rushed into an emergency operation. I knew nothing about a colostomy until I woke up from surgery. The hospital sent me home with only a few pouches, and I'm using some samples until I can get insurance. The supplies and advice from Kindred Box helped me in so many ways.

  • Leigh Anne in Alabama

Kindred Box is very close to my heart since they help both me and my husband with our supplies. They listen to my ostomy problems and care. I'm not sure what I would do without this wonderful charity and their kind team.

  • Linda in Arkansas

I had emergency colostomy surgery, resulting in an 8-inch open wound. It was always hard paying for wound and ostomy supplies but soon my social security check will be $400 less each month. I obviously can’t go without supplies so other bills won't be paid. I’m in such a financial mess right now and hate asking for help. What Kindred Box is doing to help me is greatly appreciated!

  • Lisa in South Carolina

Y'all are awesome! Thank you for providing these programs for those of us who struggle to afford supplies.

  • Lori in Tennessee

Medicaid will only cover my ostomy bags, so getting the other supplies I need from Kindred Box is a real blessing. Y'all have been so kind and encouraging during my cancer and colostomy journey. Thanks so much for all the hard work y'all do!

  • Lucero in Texas

I went to the ER in pain and found out I had a hernia and perforated colon from when I fell on my side at work. It's been a month since the colostomy surgery and I can't return to my job yet. I didn't realize how much these pouches would cost. If it weren't for the ostomy nurse at the hospital and Kindred Box, I wouldn't have supplies.

  • Marnique in New Jersey

I had a C. diff infection after being diagnosed with IBD. The very strong meds damaged my colon which led to colostomy surgery. It's been a real challenge getting enough colostomy supplies since I need to change pouches so often from skin problems. I breathed a sigh of relief when I found Kindred Box.

  • Michael in Florida

I’m not insured and basically homeless, so if I need any help with my colostomy I go to the ER. My daughter has been helping me get bags and then she found Kindred Box. Thank you for making me feel comfortable discussing my situation and just being there to help me through this.

  • Michael in Oklahoma

After leaving the hospital, I was worried and stressed over how I was going to get the colostomy supplies I needed. Kindred Box made my life so much easier. The work you do is very much appreciated. The card I received was also such a kind and sweet gesture. You've made my life a million times better.

  • Michele in Georgia

My dad received his first box yesterday. You do not know how thankful we are to everyone who made this happen. I didn't know how we could afford his ileostomy supplies with the overwhelming amount of hospital bills, doctor copays, and medical care for rectal cancer. I'm just so grateful.

  • Miguel in California

I’m a medically retired Navy corpsman without full benefits. I was in a car accident and needed colostomy surgery. I am in a situation where I can't afford to pay for my supplies. The ‘Kindred Heroes’ program is a blessing from the skies!

  • Miguel in Texas

I have a temporary colostomy from colon cancer because tumors caused a blockage. I'm receiving chemo treatment and getting some supplies during doctor visits, but the hospital doesn't always have the size I need. I paid $200 for just a few pouches, wafers, and barrier rings on Amazon. Those didn't last long. I don't know what I would do without Kindred Box. Your work is incredible.

  • Monica in Alabama

Thank you for the card. You’re a positive light in my not-so-positive life. Thanks again for all the ways you help, not only me but others who need support.

  • Natasha in Texas

I had permanent ileostomy surgery for Crohn's disease. My employer's health plans are too expensive, so paying for ostomy supplies is an out-of-pocket cost. I just buy the bare essentials because I'm part of a group of middle-class folks struggling to make decisions about insurance and medical debt. I'm grateful to have found Kindred Box.

  • Nicholas in Texas

I've had multiple surgeries over the past ten years because of Gardner's syndrome and my colostomy is permanent. Since I can't afford supplies, I get some from a local support group but they're usually the wrong size. I'm grateful regardless. I've even used hot glue to put two different pouching systems together just to get by. Kindred Box sends me supplies that work best. Huge thanks to everyone who donates.

  • Nicole in Georgia

My husband passed away last year and things have been very difficult for me ever since. We lived solely off his income. I was diagnosed with terminal colon cancer two years ago and had permanent colostomy surgery. Thank you for making life easier for me while my SSI application is pending. Your efforts do not go unnoticed.

  • Noemi in Colorado

I am astonished and saddened at the cost of these supplies. I only get ten pouches each month through insurance and can't afford extras. I’m on my last few and the month has just begun. Thank you for using your time to advocate for ostomates, you’re all awesome!

  • Pamela in Tennessee

The supplies Kindred Box sent me were a lifesaver. You all are so kind. I am paying retail for my supplies because I lost health insurance, but honestly, the policy never covered them anyway. You're a godsend doing angelic work. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

  • Patricia in Michigan

Knowing that I have urostomy supplies from your program has been such a relief these last few months. My insurance deductible is so high that I pay retail most of the time. Thanks to each of you at Kindred Box for helping us ostomates in need. What a blessing!

  • Paula in Texas

I've cried many days. I don't really know anything about a colostomy since this is all new to me. My WOC nurse referred me to Kindred Box because I fear running out and can't afford to buy them. It was so exciting the supplies you sent. I took a pic of everything and sent it to a couple of family members—they were so happy for me. You people are AWESOME!

  • Pia in Texas

The supplies from Kindred Box helped us recover what was lost from Hurricane Harvey. It gave us peace of mind and was one less thing to worry about while trying to rebuild our lives and continue with my father's cancer treatment. We truly appreciate your help in our greatest time of need.

  • Rebecca in Alabama

I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called Sjogren's syndrome. This causes very dry skin so I go through many ostomy supplies. I found Kindred Box after having ileostomy surgery and losing my job. The supplies sent were very helpful. The box came just as I was on my last bag.

  • Remigio in Texas

I was laid off from my job and lost insurance. I just started the process of getting coverage back but it's going to take a while. The supplies from the hospital will soon diminish. Your support is greatly appreciated, thank you so much Kindred Box!

  • Richard in Georgia

Thank you for your programs. Folks like me struggling to survive with a stoma would be absolutely lost without Kindred Box. I wouldn’t be as secure as I am without your help with supplies. I truly appreciate all you do.

  • Richmon in Virginia

Without Kindred Box, I don’t know what I would do! Having no insurance makes it expensive to buy supplies. After my colostomy surgery and learning what everything costs, thankfully I found their program for military families. Kindred Box truly is a blessing to me and all who they help on a daily basis!

  • Rickey in California

I had colostomy surgery many years ago. It's good to be alive today but being homeless I live moment to moment with no supplies. I’ve worn pouches too long and then they leak. Sometimes I'm not allowed to ride the bus from the smell. Thank you for helping me.

  • Robert in Missouri

Support from Kindred Box allows me to get the supplies I need while still being able to make my regular bills. Thank you for the help.

  • Salvador in Texas

I had colostomy surgery for diverticulitis and didn't have insurance at the time because it was too expensive. But I'll be insured through my employer soon, and I'm also getting a reversal in a few months. The supplies from Kindred Box are a relief and greatly appreciated.

  • Sandra in Arizona

Thank you for what you do! I'll be forever grateful for the ostomy supplies from Kindred Box when I needed help. I'm happy to say that I'm cancer-free and had a successful reversal surgery. Much love!

  • Sandy in Ohio

How can a group of people all be so kind and giving? Thank you for the card. You do not know me, but those words are EXACTLY what I needed to hear right now when I'm not feeling so strong because of my situation. I'm using every bit of strength that I do have to focus on my kids. What you do makes a DIFFERENCE in healing hearts and souls... not just ostomies.

The supplies from Kindred Box allow me to change my urostomy system freely without trying to salvage pouches. I was in a dire situation with medical bills exceeding my income. You’ve taken away my worries and stress. I am forever grateful.

  • Shirley in Texas

Being 86, my doctor won't do another hernia repair surgery so I'm just dealing with it by changing the pouch daily, sometimes twice. Only 20 are allowed by Medicare which isn't enough. I pay retail for 20 more each month but can't afford them now that my husband is in assisted living. I'm very grateful for the supplies from Kindred Box! Your dedication to helping ostomates is commendable.

My husband had ileostomy surgery and at this time we have no insurance. We're on a very limited income and ostomy supplies are so expensive. We received the supplies and it just brings me to tears. He was on his last bag. Thank you for helping us.

I was shot six times when my home was being robbed. I had to have emergency colostomy surgery to save my life. I’m recovering but not able to work and don’t have insurance. I’m so happy I found Kindred Box and appreciate everything you’ve done.

  • Stephanie in Tennessee

Thank you so very much for what you do! It is a wonderful thing. I was terminated from my job of 12 years for missing too much work from Crohn's disease. I’m unable to afford ostomy supplies which were once covered when I had insurance. You guys are angels.

  • Stephen in Texas

I am homeless and the supplies I did have when I got out of the hospital were stolen. Things like this happen often when living on the streets, unfortunately. Thank you Kindred Box, you've been a huge blessing to me.

  • Stephen H in Texas

Having colon cancer and living with an ileostomy has been a humbling experience. My job started right before the diagnosis and ended during medical treatment. I couldn't afford to buy supplies so without your military family program, I don’t think I would've made it! Kindred Box has been a true Godsend.

  • Sue in Arizona

Kindred Box does things for people that I'm sure others don't quite understand (I’ve honestly used baggies and duct tape as a pouch) but I will be eternally grateful. The constant stress of buying ostomy supplies is slowly leaving my mind. Thank you so so much.

  • Sylvia in Florida

The assisted living facility doesn’t always order the brand of ostomy supplies I need. Kindred Box has most certainly made my life a lot easier and more pleasant with their help and encouragement. Thank you for making my life better in so many ways!

  • Sylvia in Texas

I don't have insurance and haven’t been back to work since having colostomy surgery. I've been buying supplies locally and my friends help me pay for them since I have no money. I'm new to all of this and don't know what I'm doing and get frustrated and start to panic and cry. Your program has helped me in so many ways!

  • Tammie in Oklahoma

Kindred Box helped me during my darkest days. My insurance doesn't cover ostomy supplies and the retail cost is outrageous. I'd already spent thousands out of pocket. Anyone who lives with an ostomy knows the struggle is real.

  • Teresa in Georgia

I want to thank you so very much for letting me reap the benefits of those who are kind enough to donate ostomy supplies. 2021 was a rough year with covid, job loss, and emergency colostomy surgery. Being in your military family program has truly been life-changing. I admire what Kindred Box is doing for people like me who need help. I'm eternally grateful.

  • Theresa in Florida

I was in a bind one time and didn’t have money for supplies. Kindred Box sent me a package. I am blessed to have a few extras and would like to pay it forward by donating them to help others in the same situation. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

  • Tiffany in New York

Thank you for helping my father. Sadly, he passed away from metastatic cancer. KIndred Box was so helpful this past year with his colostomy supplies, always sending his favorite brand of pouches. He also loved the H2ORS drink mix samples during his chemo treatment, they made him feel better. I wanted to thank you again for everything.

  • Tobe in California

I have a bunch of ostomy supplies that my son no longer needs since he had his reversal surgery. I want to send them to you because Kindred Box helped me in our time of need, and I want to help you do the same for someone else.

  • Tony in Florida

2022 was hard. I was diagnosed with colon cancer, had two ostomy surgeries, and developed a very large hernia. Even worse, my dad, my mom, my wife, and my dog all died. Having Kindred Box help me with supplies has made the end of a rough year better.

  • Tonya in Tennessee

I have a fistula beside my stoma, so I'm literally changing the wound dressing and ostomy pouch every single day until it closes. It was already a struggle to get supplies but now it's more expensive. I've even slept in my bathtub because there's no way of containing a leak in the only pouch I have on. I wouldn't have gotten through this without help from Kindred Box.

  • Vera in Texas

The supplies arrived and I am so very grateful! Thank you for spending an hour giving me great tips and bringing me back from a breakdown emotionally. Living with a colostomy is tougher than I ever imagined. I left the hospital with such high hopes and a solid plan for bag changes, not knowing the challenges ahead. I really appreciate Kindred Box. Again, a huge thank you!

  • Wendy in Ohio

Whenever I get supplies from Kindred Box it just brightens my day. If nobody else has said it today, let me be the first… thanks for your kindness! I appreciate what you do from the bottom of my heart.

  • William in Texas

I had colostomy surgery because of colon cancer. I have no insurance and I'm unemployed at this time. You guys have no idea what a blessing you are to people in need. I am so grateful for Kindred Box.

  • Winston in North Carolina

When the doctor said I needed a permanent ostomy to save my life, they didn't tell me these supplies cost a fortune. I would've liked to have known that because I can't afford them. Sometimes the ER has given me pouches, and sometimes they're donated locally but the wrong size. I am grateful that Kindred Box cares about what supplies I need and has a program to help me.

Every time you donate, someone receives help.
